Typically, samples from a paternity testing trio are sent to the participating laboratories, and the laboratories are asked to treat the samples as a 'usual' paternity case. The laboratories submit their results to the organising laboratory. The results are collated, presented and discussed at the following meeting of the English Speaking Working Group. The laboratories also respond to a questionnaire concerning techniques and strategies employed. A certificate for successful participation is available on request. The results of the paternity testing workshops are published.

The fee for participation in the 2008 PTW was 295 Euros. The fee for 2009 has not yet been decided. Further information including how to register, deadlines, payments, etc. will be communicated later in 2008.

All members of the working group are welcome to participate. Members who want to participate should contact the organiser by e-mail.
